Sulawesi has always been famous in Indonesia for its strong wind, especially in the southern part, where the 2 biggest Indonesian wind farms are located: Sidrap in the mountains & Jeneponto on the coastline.
Jeneponto benefits from mountains compression and tip effect that both speed up the trade winds. This specific area experiences also a very long dry season guaranteeing winds consistency, only disturbed by moon cycles.

Nestled in a safe lagoon stretching over 2km of shallow & flat waters, you will enjoy this newly charted spot preserved from the crowd.
Beach is offering large space for safely taking-off & landing. At low tide, the beach widens up to 300m to practice mountain board.
The spot works both at high and low tides with the lagoon moving, but the fun remains the same. Small kickers & glassy water, you will never get bored by your kiteboarding sessions.
There is something for everyone to enjoy: beginners to learn fast & experienced riders to push their limits with new tricks & big airs.
Strong, Consistent & Reliable
Wind blows SW from May to October with >80% of kite days and an average of 20 knots. The peak months July, August & September regularly hit 35+ knots. Jeneponto ranks #1 worldwide for the month of August.
Safe conditions with on-shore wind pushing toward the beach. Wind starts in the morning till dusk for you to make the best of the day.
The kite size most used is 8m for riders 80-85kg.
